Remote keyless central locking cockup - Need fitting

Purchased a RightClick remote keyless central locking kit and attempted to fit it yesterday. Typically me I've cocked it up and now I have the Engine management light flashing and the airbag light on. Going to get the AA to come out and run its diagnostic through it and hopefully put it all back to normal...

Basically, I've taken it back out and wondering if there is someone willing to fit it for me, willing to pay :D

P.S I'm located in Croydon

lol I really dont know! I have all the diagrams from rclick but couldn't locate the correct ones i.e. couldn't find the colours needed.

Although I did manage to locate the indicator one, but even that was a different colour to what was stated...

The hardest bit was actually getting to the CL pump itself!

Will have another look tomorrow.. but still wouldn't mind if anyone would mind fitting it for me :D

Wiked! I've successfully installed it - did not take long at all!

Following my success, later I will write up a guide which should help over owner's install an RCL unit.

One thing i didn't get working was the LED, I've cut it and extended the cable to reach the front but does not work. Doesn't seem to be getting any current through it at all... Is there a fuse maybe I've blown inside the RCL unit?

ALSO I've jus spoke to RAC about my airbag light, and they said they are not allowed to mess with the airbag?!

Ive already written the guide lol :P

You did connect the led the right way around? You wont be able to measure it on a multimeter as the pulse is too short. Get a 12v LED and just put it on the points on the RCL box to check if its working then go from there.

The RAC wont touch the airbag - you need somebody with vagcom to reset the fault on that.

Yes, it is indeed very easy to fit. I put it right next to the pump where normally the first aid kit would be so it is easily accessible. Was also needed as I needed to recode the keys when I had one fail.

All colour codes were correct though so was slightly surprised to hear you say they were not though?

The codes for the left and right indicators on the paperwork are the wrong way round, but apart from that all is good.

Does it matter which brown goes to which indicator?

Taking another look at the diagram, it all makes much more sense now I have located the CL unit
