are they legal in standard 6n2 headlights without projectors, did you have to get your beam setting aligned to pass m.o.t??

its abit of a grey area, ive had cars pass fine with them but it may be down to the mot tester, just put your original bulbs back in! ive ran my 8000k for ages now! took them off for mot then put them back in after!

Been looking around for a set. still can't find any. The GTi lights would be great, but there like 100 quid each! and dont really want the fk headlights as they have the halo rings! Has anyone come across a brand new set that's cheapishh? Thanks.

100quid each is cheap, if you go to the dealer your gonna be paying around 400quid each!

lol the GTI lights are much more than that. Brand new they are £160+the VAT for each headlight to trade! Plus £120 for each ballast, and £50 per bulb...its quite expensive. Been there and had the bill!

Best way of getting the original gti lights is through breaking polos or at vw shows
I picked up a pair at santa pod last year for £25

thanks mate, i'm never to keen on the halo rings, but these are an exception! lol i'm going to order them now. Not sure whether to go for black/chrome? my car's silver, the black one's look very tempting.

black are sick cool mate, if I were you I'd go for them, silver will look too colour coded with the car ... would like it if you let us know how they do when they are fitted

they are on top of my shopping list as well hehe

Just fitted my headlights. They look awesome! black was a good choice in the end, as you said dub. iv'e fitted 100w rally bulbs into the projectors and they've come out almost as bright as hid's.

there also a slight blue colour which i wanted. so altogether good buy!

The 100W bulbs could see you problems at MOT time as they are not a road legal bulb, so beware of that.
