Hi guys, its been too long now since ive had stock speakers in the car and im bored of them.

I have an alpine headunit so dont need to buy a new one of those.

Can anyone recommend some speakers they have, i definitely want components in the front.

Also can anyone recommend a sub for the boot, doesn't have to be huge.

I want the system to sound decent not chavy and loud etc but obviously i would like the speakers to go loud but retain clarity.

I would like to stick to alpine stuff really but if anyone else recommends other brand just let me know,

Has anyone had a problem fitting speakers in the door like is there enough room for the window to move etc

rainbow are expensive but good mate almost as good as bose and some say better

Have you heard of fitting problems for components? Room wise

I like Vibe Black Air components mate,

I think they're about £70 for a pair 13cm's but are goo for about 340w max

my mates got some in his scooby and they sound well good.

Which ever pair you go for i'd recommend sound deadening around the panels and back of the speakers

so shall i just place deadening all on the door? and no one has had any problem fitting them size wise ?

Any of the mid-top brands component wise will give you some decent sounds. Not really sure on Vibe they're lower down in the market, think Alpine and upwards and £100+ for price range.

As for a sub, these make a bigger difference than components initially because they fill in missing frequencies over a standard setup. You should look at a 10" sub with a sealed box. I run a Boston G5 + Passive rad sub and it's the punchiest 10" I've had, but I'm sure JL / RE would be just as good at their mid-top end.

As an aside, I'm running Genesis amps - small but powerful but more focused on quality than volume. Their sub amp is superb so I can heartily recommend it.
