Annoying Passenger window

Hi, Peeps. I've learnt a lot about my Polo from this forum and have managed to fix two of the main problems I had (new thermostat and central locking pump).

The only problem I haven't managed to solve is the damn passenger window. The previous owner had the passenger window replaced (car was broken in to). Since then, the window will drop down into the door off the runners if put all the way down and up again.

I've had the door apart and witnessed what's happening. The two metal brackets clamped to the window have square holes in them that a plastic stump on the runners fits through. When these plastic things move the window up and down, the brackets eventually fall off the end.

One of the brackets.

The bracket on the runner thing. It doesn't appear to have anything to stop it sliding off the edge of the plastic bit.

I guess there's a part missing that stops the brackets falling off those plastics bits or something's broken? I'd like to get this fixed as i'm sure some mate is gonna one day ignore me and wind the window down. Bzzzzzzzzzz *CLUNK*.

Thanks.

Edit: check the electric windows sticky!
There's some plastic clips that apparently break off the end of the plastic runners.
