lol you have had a mere there... there is a guide i will try to find for you... but basically you have to get the roof lining half of and there is like a bolt holding it in place think its 10mm... rather than explain ill look for the guide for you

ok there is a guide but it dosent actual;ly tell you how to do it... but there is a bolt between the roof lining and the actual roof that i assume once you unscrew releases the ariel base or in your case metal disc on top of your roof
but you will need a replacement to put in its place straight away else it till leave a hole in your roof.
im pretty sure the roof lining is held on just by the handle things above windows and the interior light surround so unscrew the rear two handles and that should give you enough room to get the bolt off.

Ensure you remove the rear grab handles before you drop the roof lining, or it will crease it!

ye - its just two bolts on each. Otherwise it will damage the headlining, which you dont want to do!

Its a moulded panel
As for the black, you would have to spray it.

fabric spray the roof lining black or take it out completely... (very carefully and out through the boot) fabric glue and then attach a different fabric, then the pillars would have to be plastic primered and the sprayed black with the desired plastic spray paint... lol "blonde moment"
personally i wouldnt attempt this myself i would seriously wait for a proffesional to do it cause if i messed it up there arent many 6n2's with sunroofs around in scrappys so id be forking out for a new roof lining from vw
... theres just too much that can go wrong in my opinion and im too impatient and heavy handed !

haha yeah sounds like the best bet therefore im not the one reliable if it goes wrong fixed my light and stuff just didn't get round to doing aerial. yeah ive got a sunroof too so that's another reason to do it myself, I think ill be able to do my carpet myself? yes? no?
