it also depends on what you have had before...

and what you consider ... slow... and quick

its so just down to your own opinion
my third car was a 1l polo which was stupidly slow.
i now have a 1.4. 16v which in comparison is sooo much quicker.
and yet not quicker off the mark then my perouda kelisa (a 1l....and as light as a feather)
but in general my polo is quicker.
if that all makes sence?!?!

my boyfriend gets stressed at slow cars. to the point where he didnt even get in my 1l polo
he has a gti so my 1.4 would of course feel slow to him. but he even admits its not that bad on speed.

what car are you driving atm?

i agree with verity, my friend with a 100bhp 9n agrees that my car a 1.4 60bhp isnt that much slower than his and his convinced that it has just as much torque,

we even raced once ( not on main roads of coures as thats a 9 point offence :D ) and i was quicker off the line and was winning till we both hit 4th gear then i was just breathing his exaust fumes lol

I've had 115mph it may have carried on but I doubt much further but I stopped after that oh and obviously on a private road so as not to break the law :D and overtaking it's not bad even at highspeeds on the motorway I've been it worse cars :D

You can get 120 out of a 1.0!

The 1.4 16V 75 option is a good little engine - its got a good amount of power and torque. Certainly a serious improvement over an 1.4 8V.

The mrs has the 1.4 16V, and i have both a GTI and a 1.3 Genesis Mk3, and its quicker by far than my Genesis and is nice to drive, but nothing beats the GTI for oomph lol
