Help needed urgently on fitting remote upgrade kit!

I have just bought a HAWK remotr upgrade kit: http://www.hawkcaralarm.com/Remote.html
And for some reason I can get the car to lock when the door is closed, but only partially unlock. Meaning, when I press the unlock button, it will make a sound to all the locks and I can't open the door from the outside but I can open it with a key. But If I am inside, and unlock the car, If I pull the handle once, it opens the lock and then pull it again it opens the door.
Can anybody suggestions what I can do? I have been trying for so long to try and get it to work and been taking advice off a lot of people. Some say I need a 180 ohm resistor. Some say I need an 80 ohm resistor (which I can not find anywhere only an 82 ohm and also have tried this).
It is on a 9N3, 08 plate.
