How do you remove wing mirror covers?

Does anyone know how to remove the wing mirror covers on a 6n?

Just carefully pry them off. There's no actual screw or anything holding them on.

Thanks, thought as much but I hate trying to force things off unless I know for sure.

Yeh it's one of those tricky annoying jobs that doesn't consist of a simple unbolt or unscrew. VW has a lot of those.
