I've got some 312mm i'm thinking of completely stripping them and building them back up.

I'm quite the noob with this, what parts should i replace? seals etc

Well, I'd think that the only things that you could possibly need would be a new set of pistons, seals and dust cover, oh and maybe guide pin inserts. But are you sure that you need to do any of this work? One thing though, even if it is possible to split open these callipers - DON'T DO IT!

Oh and its a smart idea to replace the bleed screws as some people over tighten them and the taper sealing part ends up ridged and not so good at sealing without lots of force!

Maybe its only a degrease and paint up that you are meaning?

Hi, yeah i certainly don't want to split the calipers (plus i have no idea how to!)

I currently just have the calipers seperated from their carriers and also the pads are out. I was just wondering if there were any parts i could replace whilst they are in this state?

Thanks

See that I've added new bleed screws, so maybe just check the dust covers to make sure that they are not cracked up and letting water - also when you ease them off, check that the pistons can still move - you might need to close off the fluid hose connection point with a tyre pump and pump in some air - watch the pistons do not pop out or if they do, clean up the inside of the bores of rust etc and rinse out using clean brake fluid, clean up the pistons and ease them back in and refit the dust covers.
