fitting mk2 grill onto a mk3... how too?

Im wanting the single round headlight grill on my mk3 and am wondering how to go about it.... would i have to get a pair of mk2 wings and replace the existing ones as the wings on the mk3 are slightly different for the indicators to fit in????

its major bodywork work to do ...might as well forget it
mk3 bonnet and wings are longer, then the slam panel is in the wrong place
just wont happen really..sorry
