This morning I woke up to a puddle of water dead center in the foot well!!?

But there was no leaks from the roof or doors that I could find, but the carpet was soaked??

Any ideas?

Is it the passenger footwell? If so its probably a blocked scuttle panel (under where the wipers are) and it comes in through the air filter housing. Quite common!

Nope, it was in the drivers footwell? From feeling the carpet it seems to be coming from the bonnet lever?

Where the wipers are, its a plastic tray which is clipped in. Be careful when lifting as excessive force can snap the clips.

I'm about to cry! Got in this morning and it's soaked! Then looke up and it's pissing through the suede seals by the door! An it's trickling past the bonnet lever.

To get to the scuttle does the bonnet need to be open?

Is that the only place it would be coming from?

ive looked along the door seals, and thats where its trickling down from.

I pulled them off, and there all wet along the top of the door.?

Also, my horns now stopped working! (stebel nautilus)

It may be its location, or connections..

This is how i found one of its connections..

Image

It looks like rust?

How can i prevent that from happening?

And im assuming all is ok, the fuse is fine, and when i push the horn on the wheel, i hear a click which sounds like its coming from the relay, so i know thats not buggered either.

Wheres the best place to locate them as so they don't get wet?

Possibly coat the connections in a spray glue?

Clean it up, clamp it back on, and smear all purpose silicone on it - that will fix the problem ;)

The door seals get wet, but they shouldnt leak. Are there any tears or visible damage?

No tears or any damage to the seals themselves. Just a mystery how that it's only suddenly happend. And thanks for the tip on the connections to the horn.

Cheers

I've got a sun roof. Drivers side at the top of the door. And it looks like it leaking on the back of te rubber seal and trickling down to the floor.

And the horn is conected on the oem bracket.
