Hi everyone,

Can anyone help me with instructions on how to fit an electric door mirror to my 2001 polo gti?
Someone has kicked my drivers side mirror off so trying to get a new one and fit it myself as been told it will cost over £100 to get it done at a garage but need to get it done promptly as have also been told it's illegal to not have drivers side mirror.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

first you need to pull the door handle towards you and pop a flat bladed screw driver in the gap you create, to pry the door arm cover off,

then there are two screws under there you will see.

there is another smaller screw near the mirror on the end side of the door, this needs to be popped ou too.

then unscrew the door lock pin,

the door card should then just pry off, take that out of the way disconnecting the mirror controller.

then you need to unscrew the tweeters at the top of the door, behind here is the fixings for the mirror,

repeat in reverse to replace everything.
