ECU Changing.

Hi everyone
My ECU has been remapped, and suppose IF i was to get another polo, same model, engine type, trim (6n2 1.4 SE TDI,Engine code AMF)and stick it in there, would it work??

I was thinking maybe the ecu would hold information about the mileage as well.

i thought they only held your engine code ?

kinda lol. a bit interesting, but doesnt answer my question. it could be different cars wont allow for ecu to be changed over...

For the amount of hassle involved it would probably be easier just to get another remap.
