hi guys just a quick one, ive fitted a bmc dia filter to my 1.4 8v 6n2, i know there are two breather pipes, one on the top of the engine block and the other an extended hose at the back left of the engine bay, the one on the top on the engine, when the bmc is fitted keeps chucking out oil with so much force it keeps knocking the breather filter i put on, off and making a huge mess but still runs fine as its doing it, although with the standard filter on it doesnt do it !
now ive been told it'l be a blocked breather but surely wouldnt it do it with both filters in that case ? and ive also been told to use a catch tank but i think the pressure would blow the hose off ?
any help very much appreciated .

The one at the front top of the block isnt a breather. Its an air feed for the cylinder head - if this is put on a filter, itll spray oil everywhere. It needs to be on a one way valve to allow air in and nothing out! (the airbox has one of these fitted into it where it connects to)
