exhaust for my polo and oil problem
exhaust for my polo and oil problem
so I am considering to change the exhaust on my polo because the 1.0l sound is terribly annoying and sissy hehe
... I still want it hidden like the standard box but with a better sound. what do you suggest please? a custom made one? would it be better if I remove the middle box/can?

the oil problem: the top cover breather is spitting quite a good amount of oil. is this a problem because it did not use to do it. I found oil dripping down the cylinder head to one of the spark plug hole!! help pls as I don't want oil going into my air box!!

Re: exhaust for my polo
Which oil hose is this - is this the one from the front side of the block (the thin hose?) If so, you will lose a huge amount of oil by removing the pipe. It needs a one way valve that only lets air in and nothing out. Been there done that got the tshirt!
Re: exhaust for my polo
it is a breather in the cylinder cover just above the 4th cylinder. when I removed the hose air came out and now (just recently) oil is also spat out!! so it is supposed to be an intake to the cylinder cover??

Re: exhaust for my polo
it takes air into the cover - it doesnt expel oil. if your factory airbox is still on, reconnect it. If its not, you need to find a one way valve for it.
Re: exhaust for my polo
I am still using the factory airbox and the hose is connected bet there was still oil dripping from the base of the hose. could it be that the oil level is a bit higher than it should be?

Re: exhaust for my polo
as long as the hose is connected it should be fine. I would check your oil level to ensure it isnt above the hashed area, as this could could abnormal oil pressure
