You should be able to get insured on a GTI for good price.
Despite only driving for 2 years, you are 22/23 which will help bring the price down.
I am 21 with 3 years NCB and my insurance is due in August but I have been quoted £650.00 for my GTI.
Currently pay just over £1000 on Insurance for it so I will save £350 this time.
Get a few quotes from Moneysupermarket, confused.com & Compare the MeerKat

Agree with the above, you should be able to insure a GTI quite easily.
Im 22,have three years no claims and pay £516 a year fully comp thats with Admiral.
I found phoning them up to be an awful lot cheaper than the internet quotes i was getting.

Ive recently turned 23, have 4 years no claims and I pay about £450 with churchill fullly comp on my gti and I also have two named drivers on the policy, my mrs and my dad. My dad infact bought the policy price down a little as being a named driver. Go for it mate I predict you could get it for around £600 if you shop around
