Broken door lock on 1998 polo 1.9 cl. door no longer opens on the key I assume the paddle has broken.Havent got the old one out yet, got a repair kit ready but the parts look like the earlier lock in the Haynes manual pre july 97 the sales guy said the later locks had been modded. Does anyone know anything about this cos if it is right I have to swap the tumblers over from the old barrel to the new one Part No Iv'e been given is 1 HO 898 081 A

Ignore the above post, the muppet in the Dealers parts Dept gave me the wrong repair kit. went back today saw a different guy who sold me exactly what i needed. Only have to figure out how to put it together .
