Forge Split-R Adjustment? Help!

First off, have I connected it up correctly?
If thats OK, how the hell do I adjust it with the ratchet system to suit my car?
Is it personal preference or is there an optimum it should be? Like 5, 10 or maybe even 15 "clicks"?

Ehhhhh???? on mines it couldnt be adjusted. fully recirc is what you want

Connected wrong for a start...
There is an install guide here:

Should have come with the splitter.
The adjustment is around 30-35 clicks clockwise from starting postion (fully anticlockwise) for a Chipped car.
What you want to do is fiddle with it so you are holding full boost, but not getting the flutter sound. Having a boost gauge helps you to know when max boost is happening.

Connected wrong? Damn.. I would have thought the blow off from the turbo would be the intake on the Dv surely?
It's difficult to physically fit the other way round as the small pipe connected to the top won't reach?
I'll take a picture of how it is now as my diagram might not explain it

I had to get a new vacuum tube (the small hose) connected as mine would not reach either, think most people do...
It would be 1 or 2 pounds per meter from local auto shop.
Did you look at the attached PDF? There is a photo in there of how to install. I don't know what you are saying about how its connected, the boost pressure comes up from the turbo piping into the bottom of the unit, when the vacuum lifts the spring or the boost pressure exceeds the spring load, the boost air is released back into the intake before the turbo.

I'll buy a longer bit of vaccum hose later and get it sorted, iv put the Bosch one back on for now
When it's on it means that it will sit with the flute pointing down into the engine bay, that's how it should be yeah? Under hybrid operation, the setup it comes from the factory as

Not too loud unless you give it some even with a 57i K&N Induction - Just right

Im looking forward to fitting it this weekend. Ive got a BMC CDA and already. Induction noise is obviously increased petty pleased about.
These dont need serviced do they the SPLT-R?

I believe all the spring type ones need servicing. Have not seen how to do it, but have only clocked about 10k kms since I've had it on.

But i dont think they will need replacing as there adjustable? Maybe open it up give it a clean and a slight oil. Ive bought mine 2nd hand as i said. Thinking of opening it up and giving it a clean.

I don't think the springs are for the slitter, they are for the 07 diverter.
There are many products like this, some work better than others.
If you set the spring pressure too low, you wont hold enough boost. If you set it too high, you are not letting the air pass which can cause problems and your ECU may pull some power to avoid issues.

well just set mine at 31 clicks clockwise from fully anti clock wise (softest position) So il see how it goes at the weekend. Dont want to have it too stiff and fire air back to the turbo. Boost gauge would be very handy!

I don't know how easy it is with stock power, but with the chip you can tune it by ear IMO.
If you are having issues hearing it, remove the seal at the rear of the engine bay and drive with your windows down. When you are holding boost (eg 3000 rpm) then let go, you should hear a air rush. You can then tighten the unit until the dump sound is short, but back it off a little if you start hearing different sounds or it does not seem to open up easily.
I was told by someone with the APR tune that 35 clicks from open is about right, but I think you'd need to play a bit as they are likely to be very slightly different.
