you guys are probably already aware of these, but just incase you are not:

I've just fitted a new rear wiper arm & blade to my 95 mk4 glx, as the original arm had broken where the wiper attached to it.

The new wiper arm is from the Polo Variant and looks much more up to date than the original :D .

For your info, here are the part numbers & prices for the Polo Variant rear wiper from the dealer:

Wiper arm 6K0955707 £11.66 + VAT
Wiper blade 6X0955425B £5.12 + VAT

I also replaced the orange side repeaters with chrome style ones to update the look, which I obtained from www.dcp-shop.co.uk for £19.95 delivered :) .

Now, should I try & obtain some 14" 16v alloys ? How much do they go for second hand. I find the tyres on these 13" alloys just too slim, especially after being used to 225 width tyres on my Bora.

Regards,

Marc.

Lookin nice, gettin my side repeats done this weekend.

Just a quick question, on your side repeats have you used Silver Technology bulbs or just normal yellow coloured ones? Im curious, cause I can get a pair of normals for £4, but is it worth spending extra money to get silver lights so you cant really see the bulb?

Finking... also if I do go for Silver Technolgy where shud I get them from?

Cheers.

Looking nice 2 :P

The chrome look side repeaters I purchased use a normal orange indicator bulb (that came with them). It is hardly visible, as the bulb is encased in a "bubble". But if the silver look bulbs are cheap, go for it.

I put Philips silvervision bulbs in the front indicators a while ago and have Osram silverstars on my Bora, both are great with slightly different looks. The Osram is more blue and did not suit the Polo, whereas the Philips are more silver and less visible.

I was just updating the look, it's my wife's car and she wants it left pretty much stock. I've done a fair few mods to my Bora. The Polo rear wiper arm was broken, so it needed replacing anyway, and I thought I'd update the front look as the orange repeaters looked awful in my opinion, and I really liked the OEM ones on my Bora.
