dash - fog light

earlier this year i had a problem with my electrics, when my fog light on dash came on, my wipers, windows and lights didnt work but then i took the fuse out and aa man fixed everything but ...now when driving only at night, when i brake the fog light on dash lights up for a brief milli-second so does anybody know what the problem could be???
btw hopefully soon ill have a full thread of my car fro when i bought etc.
