Painting Rims

Anybody got any advice on painting rims?

I've been looking for some Monzas for some time for my Polo, as my rims are a bit boring. I was thinking of painting them high gloss black, anybody got tips on how I would go about doing it? Methods? Products? For example, would I need to sand it, which products are best for producing a smooth even layer of paint but at the same time produce a clear, even and glossy outcome.

Also, this sounds a bit too much to ask for, I'm planning on putting a thin red trim of paint around the lip of the Monzas, just to match my grilles (and my calipers that I am going to paint as well). Anyone got any suggestions on how to go about doing this?

Thanks guys :D

Google guides and there are thousands made ready for you.

If you want to do the lip do the main part of the wheel. Leave it for a week without laquer then take up and spray just the rim then laquer it all at the same time.
