Sorry guys, I just realised you can't view that link unless you're a member doh!!

Here's a quick summary:

It's a custom dual exit 3.5' single rolled in exhaust system, but it was made from scratch with baffles and internals designed from scratch to achieve the right sound (diesel engine so nothing available off the shelf).

The link provides a complete review with some 70 pictures, so if anyone is really interested it might be worth registering and reading through - especially if you're in the UK and looking for a new custom zorst system.

Few pics below..

Suffice to say, I'm pretty happy:

Looks like a top job mate, very nice looking tail pipes too.

Bit of shame I just had a Mongoose Exhaust fitted to mine, I do need a custom made De-cat pipe though, is this something they could produce for me?

Ben,

How fare are they from Essex?

Would they be cheaper then PowerFlow?

They're in Shipley, West Yorkshire mate.

Sorry mate these guys are a cut above Powerflow and Long Life. They use the highest quality of steel, manufacture their own boxes from scratch according to your specific requirements and mandrel bend every bend to ensure there is even gas dispersion and flow throughout the system.

I was quoted £320 from Powerflow - this job set me back just under £450.

Worth every penny too.

Powerflow aren't bad but they use generic and universal parts - so they might fit the same box on your Polo and my Accord just because it fits... They also can't bend and shape the pipes to this degree and quality.

The owner is truly a magician when it comes to welding and metal work, his understanding of exhausts is second to none.

I did plenty of research before I went to him, just Google them - Andy Ainsworth is highly regarded in the biking community for his skills and many people travel from all over the UK to have their systems made up from him.

He's also going into carbon fibre solutions so look him up and mention me (Fahad) for a good price.

Before anyone pipes in (no pun intended) I'm not dissing Long Life or Powerflow or anyone else - it's horses for courses really. It all depends on what you want and how much you are prepared to pay for something. If you want something totally bespoke to your needs and handbuilt from scratch - you can't beat these guys.

Pretty far to go just for an exhaust lol!

When i have the spare cash, id love to have an exhaust made like the R32.

However ive only got a 1.4 8v.. so at the moment i cant se it being worth it.

It's difficult on the 6N2 to have a R32 Style exhaust due to the spare wheel well, I tried to have it done on my Gti but the only way around it was to cut into the wheel well which I didnt want to do.

It's worth travelling for quality though, long way to go but you will only need to do it once.
Stainless Steel 8) Never goes wrong!

Yeah, i was aware that you had to cut the wheel well.

What massive draw backs would that have?

How long does it take for them to make and install the exhaust?

one more question.

If i got it made, and changed cars, would they then adapt it for me?

Or would it go to waste and id have to start again?

There are no massive drawbacks really but if you intend to sell the car in the future, potential buyers might be put off when they see the car has been cut apart to make way for an exhaust system. There is also the issue of getting a flat tyre and not having a replacement wheel in the back.
If its not an issue for you then go for it, it will look awesome on the car.

hmm good point.

Is the only way of getting it done is to go through the well?

Can it not be bent around it?
