6n 16v Timing

Hi everyone,
My cars been overfuelling since I've had the headgasket replaced. It causes fuel to pop like i'm driving a supercar but stutter when I put my foot down from standstill, low revs or even from a constant 50+mph.
Anyway, I need to check my cars timing and a friend has a gun to do this.
I've already asked in the Engine section but had no luck. Does anyone know what the timing is for a 6n 16v AFH? Also how would I check the valve timing and get that right?
Any help ould be much appreciated.
