Painting brake calipers

Hi,

So I've decided that this weekend i'm going to do my first major job on the car and paint the brake calipers.

First question: What colour should I choose? I was thinking either red (very common) or perhaps yellow. I saw a porsche the other day with yellow calipers and it looked sweet as. My polo's black like the Porchse... i guess that's where the similarity ends!

Also, does anyone have the advice on how best to go about doing this? I've never done this or anything like it before so hoping the car jack for the spare wheel will be OK to do this?

Harry.

its all pretty simple really.
i brought a kit when i did mine as it was in the sales at work lol
but my boyfriend has simply brought brake calliper paint from halfords and got me to do it for him lol

the jack from ur break down kit is perfectly fine after all its what its designed for.
make sure to brush off any loose dirt with a wire brush, and do some sanding of course
if u have a spray degreaser or cleaner thats always a good idea to.
and then paint :)
and make sure its deff dry! dont do it all and then drive off... for obvious reasons!

good luck! the yellow sounds good! get some pics up when ur done!
