right had 2 f****d CV's on one side and i jsut let them roll lol woops

got a new shaft (wey breakers one) and jsut wondering obviosuly to change one its undo the centre hub nut and then the 6 (i think) inside bolts but will the box leak its fluid when i do this?

if it does where is the filler hole for the gearbox oil and how much should i really be putting in as i am prown to over filling at the moment i get distracted doing stuff haha

No you won't. The box is sealed, and the inner joints have their own grease. You will need to fully clean the inner joint out with petrol or paraffin and repack it with molybdenum grease which is a special high temp high friction grease for cv joints.

It's 8 bolts on the inner joint to the box. These have an m6 multiple spline head on them, and are not easy to access.

You WILL need a new driveshaft nut as these must not be reused in any instance. They must also be retightened to 200nm with a torque wrench

To remove the existing driveshaft nut, you'll need to put a steel wheel on the car, and loosen it with the car on the ground as its the only way you can get enough leverage and grip to get it undone.

The final thing I'll say is you must be confident in doing this job. It's easy to make mistakes with cv joints and the amount of grease required in the joint.

U answered other questions I had in there any my brother was a mechanic and so is my mate so its just a faf... Also the centre hub nut thanks for telling me as I have reused it... Which obviously now is unsafe haha.
