Wheel damage

Good evening people.

Made the silly mistake of driving against/over a high kerb today at around 15 -20mph :| and damage the tyre and the wheel. Lucky enough they are not alloys and the tyres were just about needing replacement.

My question is, will I need to replace the wheel and if so where do I go about trying to find a replacement?

Thanks in advance

if you have bent the steel rim, then yes its best to replace. scrap yard is the best place to be fair - pick it up for pennies

Thanks for the reply. I was swerving to miss a pot hole at the time and just hit the kerb, annoying.

Are all steel rims the same, as long as its the same size?

also when it happened I popped the spare wheel on and noticed the car is pulling to the left. is it possible there’s further damage. steering Rod?

Thanks

Youve probably affected the tracking of the car - take it to a wheel place to get it realigned.

That steel is a deadun. Any 4x100 13" VW steel will do. Ideally a like for like is what you want such as a mk3, mk4 or mk5 polo one

Rather a very late reply, but got a replacement wheel the next day for a tenner. And had tracking done, solved all problems!

the wheel.........hit it with a hammer, would bend it back.

£10, cant complain tho.
