How hard is it to fit a H7 HID kit into the standard reflector headlights?

It pretty straight forward or a right pain?

Thanks

Is there much/any modification required to the standard bulb holders or housing in order for them to sit correctly?

Not sure if all kits are the same but the kit i bought just replaced the standard bulb.

And you can still use the headlight adjuster so you don't blind other drivers

Dont bother with the normal H7 as I use to get flashed everyday so gave in and changed it to normal halogen

If I was you, invest in the H7R HIDs which have an anti-glare film in the bulb and doesnt blind the motorist in the front or on coming vehicle.
They are specially designed for non projector headlamps and also pass MOT

Ahh so thats what the difference between H7 and H7R is.. I will go for the H7R then mate, thanks :D

Is there any difference in the balasts between slim and normal, other than physical size obviously...

Is it worth forking out the extra £15 for slim balasts or does it make no difference?

Normal:

Slim Balasts:

I think you can buy an h7r kit with slim ballasts off ebay for around £60 and they are pretty much the same quality compared to all the other suppliers

They come with one mate

Although, I have fitter mine and the light scatters everywhere even with the H7R bulbs, I have just ordered some Angel Eye Projectors off eBay to clean up the beam pattern
