You have got a lot of options when it comes to Engine & box transplants but it all depends what your after in terms of performance & economy. One of the most popular changes is the 1.8T 20V transplant but that does require a lot of money and work.

I have also seen the Polo GTI/Lupo GTI engine dropped into a lot of 6N (MK4) Polo's so that could also be an option for you.

As for the Seats again there are lots of options ranging from the Seat Ibiza, Fabia vRS, Audi A3/S3, Golf MK3 GTI, 6N2 GTI, Polo Colour Concept Recaro's and several others.

No worries mate :)
It all depends what your looking for in the car really, they can be made into a fast car but most people tend to opt for styling rather than performance.
A nice set of wheels with it dropped on coilovers always looks sweet.

5 doors can look just as good as a 3 door if styled properly, "5 doors more whores" :)

1.8T is a great conversion for power but it does cost upward of £6-7000 so in reality is not really worth it unless you love the car to bits.

There are loads of good websites for VW parts dude, here a few of the more popular sites below

http://www.dubmeister.co.uk/
http://www.venommotorsport.com/
http://www.kamracing.co.uk/
http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/
http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/
http://www.jbsautodesigns.co.uk/

There are several others but the above will be a good start for you.

Check out eBay too for second hand or new bits, always plenty of Polo bits for sale on there.

Sounds like a good plan dude, start with the basics first getting it looking nice and then maybe think about power later on.

I have got a MK5 Polo GTI dude.

What is your budget for alloys dude in terms of price, there are alot of reasonably priced alloys out there.
You can get a set of split rim BBS alloys for around £200-250 which isnt bad.

With winter coming up I would recommend getting a set of G60 Steel wheels, ok they are not alloys but they're cheap as chips and look quality, proper retro,

What year Polo is yours? MK4 6N yeah?

Coilovers and G60's would work well mate, havent got any pics of them on a MK4 but I ride on G60's in the winter and heres a few pics of them on my car.
You can get them off ebay dude, just type in G60 steel wheels, they are about £140 for a set of 4 (no tyres).

They look pretty smart in my opinion and they are cheap as chips compared to alloy wheels so good wheels to have.
I run them all winter and then switch back to my BBS rims for the summer months.

hmmm

I seen some on ebay brand new 150 + 20 packaging. that sounds reasonable realy doesnt it?

make it look better than standard good old rusty steels wheels that are 13inch lol

cheers for that.

Cheers Mate 8)

Just had a look on ebay now and it looks like they have gone up in price since I got mine in December.
£150 plus £20 shipping is still pretty good though dude, you could try and source a second hand set.

They really are popular wheels and despite being steelies they still look quality!
