Engine Oil for the GTI

Guys, I am going on holiday and taking the GTI with me 
so thought I'd carry some top-up engine Oil with me plus it is a bit low aswell.
Since Castrol is recommended am not sure what grade it needs??? Just for a top-up Please advice
