hi, this might sound like a stupid question... whats a 6n? i've never heard of them before!

its the VW model designation for the MKIV. If you've got a mkIV its a 6n shape polo

it could be a 6N2 if its W Reg or beyond but not a Mark 5.
T Reg ('99) I belive was the last 6N model made. Correct me if Im wrong.

6n is the mk4 (up to T 99)
6n2 is the mk5 (w onwards till 02)
