front speakers and amp

hi, i've got 2 jl audio subs in a custom ported box running off a 1600 watt sony amp, and a kenwood mp3 head unit. at the moment i'm using the factory front speakers, with 6 by 9's on the back shelf. with the amount of bass i have, this is less than ideal. so i'm thinking of getting a 2 channel amp and some component speakers. i notice that the polo already has component factory speakers. my questions are

1) does anyone know a good place to put a small amp, as my boot is already totally full
2) whats the size of the factory speakers in the door, and the largest size i can get into the door. will there be any depth issues, or problems with winding windows down if the magnet from a speaker hits the windows?
3) is it worth putting sound deadening on the door first, or are the doors already quiet?
4) can anyone suggest a good place for the crossovers?
5) any info on the best place to put all the wires? separate mids and tweeters will be awkward to wire, and i don't want to have a mess of wires everywhere.

any info would be appreciated!

thanks.

I squeezed some 6 1/2 inch alpine 176A's in to the door, but I wouldn't go much bigger! as for the amp - I am guessing it will fit in the passenger footwell no probs - obviously not ON the footwell, more "above" it.

window no problem.

crossovers where the tweeters are currently - you can easilly fit crossovers and the new tweeter in the space, AND fit the grill back over.

no messy wiring needed!

hope this helps

thanks for the info! whats the stock speaker size? the cone seems to be quite a lot smaller than 6 in. did you just put your speakers straight into the factory holes? i'd like to just buy a pair the right size and put them straight in.
