hello,
just signed up and thought I'd share my mk3 build with you guys. I'll keep adding to this as time goes on as its been through alot.
Its been a rolling project for the last 2 years, this is how i got it
it had been sitting still for 8 months because one of the rear bearings exploded and was welded to the stub axle, it also had a broken 5th gear so a new gearbox was on the horizon. this was my 1st car which I got for free as my bro owed me £200
Got some VW alloys from the scrap yard, as you can imagine they were kerbed to hell but for £80 they were a steal
Blacked up the bumpers and gave it a good clean
First problem
the rad came loose from pot holes and dropped out cracking on the floor
