would like to see if there could be some reason why my LEDs ( sidelights and licence plate lights) seem to burn out or stop working so quickly! I had 4 sidelight leds that stopped working and one of the licence plate festoon :/ ... is it cos they are ebay LEDs or is there something wrong with the car circuitry??

long time mate...
one of my (ebay) license plate leds has gone out too i bit the bullet and got some propper ones from ultra leds. and put the wrong street in the address so they never arrived gonna reorder them now
id put it down to just being cheap ebay ones. go ultra leds and get some cause they have a year warrenty so even if they do go you can get replacements.

thats quite a pln mate ... a nice one
not much to say the truth cos apart from being almost bankrupt I was contemplating about selling it or swapping it for at least a 1.4mpi polo with extras

as I heard that they are more economical because the 1.0mpi is quite under powered ( apart from the fact that a tad more power wouldn't do any bad

)( btw threw some new pics in the "stuck" progress thread hehe)

got my ultra led bulbs today, i must have got the wrong size as the were a struggle to make fit but look good... or as good as i can tell in the daylight lol.
good news too got an unexpected tax rebate... and can now afford my wheels
ahhh i remember you saying cars are expensive in malta would it be worth all the extra money just for a 1.4 ?. considering the time and effort you have put into your current car ?.

ahh glad to hear you'll get the wheels soon mate
I am not willing to spend extra money on the 1.4, I'll have to find one on the same price range I'll be willing to sell mine for (in fact I found one that was cheaper than I bought mine back then :/). yeah that's what I'll be missing, all the work I did on it

But I wouldn't mind starting all over again on a car that I plan to keep for a longer time and feel more pleased with ... also as I can't afford what I would like to buy, golf mk5 tdi, I have also thought of moving from the vag scene temporary and go for a mazda mx-3 with a 1.5l 16v engine (i really like those cars and they are cheaper then the polo I bought)
