hey ppl. tbh a want a new car but lookin at increase of insurance prices a wont ne able afford to insure anythin quicker than wat ive got so was just wonderin how much it wud cost for a g40 engine con in my 6n and wat wud i need? wud be takin it a VAG specialists to get it dun. thanks

i no and dont think ya can beat the sound of a supercharger :p i no it usually costs around 5000 for a 1.8t conversion but surely it wouldnt cost anywhere near that for a g40? :s

It still wont be cheap dude, remember its the labour your paying for more than anything else.
The 1.8T conversion would be more expensive at around £6K + but finding a G40 engine wont be easy, most of them have done moon miles and I suspect you will still be looking at well over £3K for the conversion unless you do the transplant yourself

lol G40 engine in a 6n will make it group 13 - thats higher than a new polo GTI
