Blimey, you have been busy Paul.
I'm currently waiting for a few bits for mine, but it's been cleaned this weekend. Interior needs a good valet though.
It should start to come together this week.

Glad ya got the top mounts in time! Sounds like you've been a busy bee recently. Wish I could say that I've been sorting stuff out on my car, it still needs a front wheel bearing, the powerflex TCA bushes fitting along with new TCAs - and a damn good wash, wax and valet.

Go you! :D That's astounding, top effort, I bow down in a display of non-worthiness (and other such arse kissing :P)

(you got all that done in about the time it took me to get halfway through derusting one arch...)

aye sounds like you've been a bit busy Paul. Im too slow a worker to do that lot in a weekend, but my GT's coming off the road for a month or two, or three ..... when the MOT runs out at the end of May.

Still your car should look and feel better for the work you've done.

The carpets come out pretty easily when you take out:

- all the seats
- those metal trim pieces under each door
- the rubber door seals
- the centre console

All you need to do then is take off a few circular plastic clips under the dash and a couple under the leading edge of the back seat and they just come out from what I remember.

I'll be taking the carpets out of my brother's Mk2 tomorrow to fit a full grey GT interior into it. 8)

Sounds like you've been busy! Sort of wishing I was cleaning mine up for Inters this week :(

yeah the carpets come out pretty easily. I originally took mine out over winter when I had a water leak to stop them going seriously mouldy.

Pretty much sorted now, I've also painted the door handle inserts black to tidy them up a bit.

Cleaned the inside of the car (just needs a new magic tree), was going to clean it outside soon but its just started to rain :x

very annoying because I wanted to take some new pics of it as well.
