Polo 9n3 mirrors

What needs to be done to have 9n3 wing mirrors on a 9n with full working connections etc?
Surely it's just a matter of extending the wires from the wing-mounted indicators to the wing-mirrors?
The wiring for the mirror controls should be the same.
