VAG COM for the GTI

Guys wanted to know what fleebay VAG COM cable do all the GTI owners use? I have a fake VAG COM cable which worked a treat on my 2004 polo but it only reads certain modules on my GTI.
Also the software I use is the VCDS lite which I got off rosstech.......
