New to ICE - wanting some advice!

i'm a poet and i diddn't know it!
So on to the real topic... as i said i'm very new to ICE and swapping out audio equipment, so i did my homework and found some components that seem to be what i'm after, but i thought
i'd check it with the experts on here before i take the plunge and waste a substantial amount of money on some equipment that i find doesn't fit because i'm an idiot...
If it makes any difference, my first car is a 51 reg 5 door VW polo... the 6n2 1.0l model. i'm pretty sure it's the basic E trim model... doesn't have air conditioning or electric windows or any fancy stuff.
head unit:

I chose this because i like the 3 RCA preouts, and the direct ipod control... i'm hoping to run two amps to start with, one for the front speakers and one for a sub in the boot...
am i right in assuming i'd be better off with one pre-out for each sub, rather than running the two amps from the same pre-out?
i also like the amount of inputs... USB, AUX, ipod, SD and SDHC...
it looks kinda smart too, not too tacky
.
As i said, two amps...

4 channels for 4 speakers... hopefully two pairs of these:

am i right in assuming that one channel for one speaker is about right, and that because they are 2 way co-axial, they'll be fine for anything other than the low bass frequencies?
i'm also hoping that because my research has told me that the door speakers in my 5 door 6n2 are 6.5", four of these will fit without any trimming necessary, just a straight swap?
last of all,

bass box, sub, and amplifier combo... i think it's fairly safe for me to assume that these work together, as they are sold as a package
.
just checking if they'll work with the rest of the setup
Sorry for the enormous amount of text, and for my lack of knowledge in this field... but as well as hoping you can tell me if this is all compatible, will my car battery be able to run it all without needing an additional power source, i.e another battery or a capacitor? i know a friend of mine has done roughly the same to a citroen ax (old... falling apart, i'd rather push a volksw... you know the sticker
) without any trouble, but better to be safe than sorry!
Thanks in advance,
Gee
