Newbie
Has anyone tried fitting hid's onto their 6R yet? I just bought a kit and to my luck I am totally buggered for fitting it. I am now aware I need a bulb adapter as the bulbs supplied in the kit dont really fit securely without messing about with the mounts, as for secondly, am aware that the power supply is fed directly to the headlight unit so will I need to buy this aswell?

Hi had alook same as 9n3 i had. Fit hid to that. Remove the plug from the metal clip. Either squeeze the loom through the clip and twist in without original plug. Or do what i did using snipps snip the metal holder with plug removed as to feed wires through then fit. Hope this helps. Dont slice the rubber cover on headlamp just use a socket size of grommet and hit a hole in rubber then pull gromit through. Ask any questions ill happy answer

This has probably been asked before but what is the benefit of HID kits over upgrading the bulbs to Xenons such as Night Breakers that offer a 90% increase in light output compared to standard Halogen bulbs? Is it purely asthetic or are they substantially better than just a Xenon bulb upgrade?

Think ave got the gif of it
Much easier once I took the headlight unit out and had a proper good look at it myself, plastic adapters off ebay are useless!!

I was surprised how easy it was also
Although mine has suffered a tiny scrape, so would reccomend putting down a bit on tape along the edge where the bumper and headlight meet to prevent anything else
