Still Pondering Tyre Sizes..

Hi,

I made a post a while back about getting tyres for my G60's. However, funds were short.

Now searching for tyres again, there are a few more I have come across. I was originally looking for a slight stretch, and I still am if its not going to look silly.
Is the G60 rim a 6J or 7J?

Here are the sizes I have seen that I can choose from. What would you go for?

165/50/15
175/45/15
175/50/15
195/45/15
195/50/15

G60 is a 6.5J (if not that, its a 6J)

For stretch 165/50/15 or 175/45/15

For sensible 195/45/15

Which is the most "unstable" or "extreme" of those 2 choices for stretch?

G60's are 6J and I would go for the bog standard 195/45/R15 tyres to avoid any hassle.

Stretch looks cool but isn’t very practical especially with the amount of potholes on the road.
You stand a good chance of taking the tyre off the rim running a severe stretch too.

185/50/R15 wouldn’t be too bad but you’re asking for trouble running 165's lol

Only thing in contact with the road is four small patches of rubber - you want to reduce that contact area in poor weather conditions with a stretched tire much narrower than originally intended in order to "compete in a fashion competition" - fill yer boots but I think it's a daft idea
