Guys anybody on here done this mod on their Polo/GTI? Am quite tempted on doing this to me GTI Came as standard in my 1.2 Polo 9n

There is a guide on this by Polo9n forum but with even the translate am not quite sure which parts to get.

Apparently there are two types of box, one being for a petrol and other for a diesel.

Only thing is, the battery on the GTi is larger than the one on the 1.2/1.4, so it might not fit. Is the diesel battery the same one as fitted to the GTi?

IIRC the batter tray in my 1.2 was big enough as it still had about an inch of gap around the battery. The cover and tray in question is similar to this one

These were the details I pulled off the Polo9ninfo web page you might need to translate it using babelfish etc

Ah, didn't see the bit about battery capacities and the different sized casings.

Would certainly tidy up the engine bay a bit, might have to give it a go!
