Should it happen to anyone else … the problem was solved by rejoining it using a short piece of ⅛” brass tube and an hairdryer to soften the hose.

Think this has broken on my sisters 1.4, where abouts did you gain access to it from mate?

Access from inside the car under the glove box ... nothing to remove ... the tube will have been broken by someone's foot ... it's badly positioned.

Ray i had a look but couldnt see no tube, i know mine has also come off, they normally tend to come of from the back boot area but i double checked that and it was fine there and the leak is towards the passenger side underneath the car at the front. Any chance of providing some pictures or abit more help where exactly am i to look.

Much appreciated

Excuse the picture quality … taken in the dark.

To get a better idea of the position ... all the white marks above the carpet will have come from passengers feet.

While taking the photo I found the plastic pipe had come off one end of the brass tube so I need to find a better solution and perhaps fit a guard around it.
