Dam! I assumed they would be 5x112! Disaster, no wheel swapping with my brother then!

Yes I am sure they would be 5x100 the same as the rest of the Polo range. When I found out that the spacings were smaller than the Golf I was disappointed as I wanted to fit 18" Monza Shadows like the Golf GTI but now I have my GTI I think it looks great on 17's. I am planning to get them refinished the same as the Monza Shadows. I assume that if the R is made it will probably be fitted with 18's or there will be an option of 18's to differentiate it from lesser models.

Edi30 be carefull as this was the way i was going with my alloys to get them painted black on the inserts like the shadows but after speeking to the alloy wheel company who was approved by vw and did the finish on mine , i was told yes i can do them but don come crying to us as where the black paint finishes you will have a small lip due to the thickness of the paint and over time when driving , cleaning ect the black will chip off and come away , and thats why i chaned my mind at the last minute and went for the nimbus gray gloss finish but its up to you .

Thanks for the warning. I was going to use the same people I used who refinished the Diamond cut finished 18's that were on the EOS sport which we had previously. In this process the wheels are stripped primed and then painted gloss black. The fronts are then diamond cut and then lacquered. Cost is about £100 a wheel and they look awesome 8)

First of all hello, ive just bought a 2011 polo GTI.........

So my first question on this topic is are you sure of the wheel measurements? Ive just took a wheel off and in the casting on the inside of one of the spokes is
7J x 17 H2 ET46 then 6R 0601025H ronal 2398R01

Now if you google the part number 6R0601025H it will come back as a MK5 golf wheel............these of course are 5 112.....

your thoughts

Welcome to the forum and great choice of car 8) Yes the 6R is definitely 100. I have both Polo GTI 6R and Golf GTI MK6 and the stud spacings are definitely different. :)
