Forge TIP questions

Hi all,

today i found some time to install my Forge TIP,
what a B*tch job to do :-p
i hope it's worth it...
but for now, i don't feel/notice any diffrence, maybe a bit more noise (car is not mapped yet)
my backseat is completly removed so all i hear is milltek noise basicly, so hard to tell.

about my questions,
is it normal that the TIP comes in contact with a black iron pipe that is verry much in the way??
i diddn't have enough room te make out what this pipe is but it's is rubbing pretty hard to the TIP...
do you guys have this problem also?

and i think because it's rubbing against this pipe, my TIP position is not how it is supposed to be,
the bracket that is holding my K&N filter is completly useless now,
becaus my TIP is pusching my airfilter against the ECU and chassis.
with my stock TIP is was placed about 10cm more to the front of the car?
hard to explain for me in this language

anyone now what i mean and if i did something wrong??

went driving with the car, everything is secure i guess,
but the litlle rubber hose from the N75 i guess it is that supposed to be on the nipple right after the elbow has come loose.
tomorrow i will fix this, this was the hardest part of all, and it still fails on me, so i can do it again :|

No you haven't done anything wrong and yes it is a crap job to fit it!

That black pipe you say is in the way does make it very difficult to fit the TIP. I don't think it can be removed very easily.

I had to shorten the end of the TIP that connects to the turbo as it was a little to long and I couldn't get it on to my airbox.

Hey,

Making the TIP shorter only helped with fitting it to the airbox. If I didn't shorten it slightly it would have meant I'd have to move the airbox further away (closer to the wing) which is what you have said you've done with your filter.

Cutting a bit off the end won't make it easier to fit near that black pipe you said about. This would only help if you cut ALOT off of the turbo end, which I don't think is a good idea as the other end (airbox end) won't reach!

Take the K&N braket off all mine did was wear down the filter. the TIP is strong enough to hold it

i know, but the problem is that my TIP is pushing my K&N against the ECU...
