This week is the first time i fill my polo, with full tank of petrol as i would be doing alot of driving around town.
Doing some house hunting, for £65 i only got 340 miles out of tank?
My car is 1.4 petrol, i drive in a sensible manner
, but i was expecting a bit more than 340 miles to a tank.
Has anyone had better mileage in their car?

340 miles per tank isn't really MPG!
Stop and start traffic and cold starts will really cut down economy.

£65 for 45 litres of fuel is £1.45 per litre. Where the heck are you buying your petrol from??!

brought petrol from garage in Park Lane London.
Anyway just wanted to know what people are getting miles wise to a full tank?

I get around 350-380 miles out of my GTI on average as my driving is a mixture of town and country roads with a little dual carriage way work as well. A lot of it is short trips too and the longer trips are driven spiritedly so I am very pleased with it as I had a Golf GTI Edition 30 before.

im in the region of 320 - 370 per tank it all depends on the conitions for me who im trying to catch up with
or pull away from
all depends on how hevey my right foot feels. im still getting used to it and coming from a diesel to the gti my fuel dosent last to long any more but i didnt buy this to watch my fuel gauge i only look at mine when it beeps at me.
Or if the mrs is driving i recon the gti will do over a 1000 miles per tank

How are you guys getting that much from the GTI? the best Ive managed so far is 295 on a full tank and that was stretching it till i had 15 miles left on the range. I also have mixture of driving roads but just cant seem to break the 300 mark.
Does the fuel economy get better i've currently done 1900 or am i just too heavy footed.
