Guys thinking of changing my spark plugs, so thought I'd invest in Iridium ones.
So anybody here recommend which and where to buy one from?

Also about what grade castrol oil i'd need?

Oil depends on if your on longlife or not, personally I converted off longlife on to standard time and distance oil, I use 0w30 fully synthetic castrol edge oil in my GTi and I recently changed my plugs to ngk diamonds from eurocarparts which are excellent plugs

Cheers Jeff for the advice. I do very short journey's in the GTI and when I bought the car off my local dealer did a oil service (22,000 miles at the time) and that my next service would be at 39,000 miles. But my mechanic friend said if you are doing short journey's then better changing the oil every 5000 miles.

Yeh I've heard of ngk diamonds but cant really decide between ngk diamonds or iridium's??

Guys I am in a bit of a dilemma now........

I am not sure whether to get iridium or not :(

Bascially I have been told that there are different types of iriduim plus where +8 and +9 being hotter plugs and are better to get............

Now this is the part number I need to get for NGK iridium BKR(+6)EIX but not exactly sure if I should get them...................please please advice??!?!?!?

Also for oil which is better 5w30 castrol magnetic or 0w30 castrol edge???????

Castrol edge I better oil and for plugs, go for the ngk's hotter plugs don't always mean more go go, and can in rare cases cause problems as other components touching the plugs are not built for the extra heat generated

Hmm think I am gonna wait till I get her stage 1 and choose the colder range. Whereas for OIL you definately sure about 0w30 FS castrol edge (sorry dont mean to rude)? because local dealers have been putting 5w40 FS in mine so thats the reason am more confused
