So how good do you have to be for Inters?

I have the bug! I have this wild idea that I might somehow be able to be driving, and get to inters next year. The thing is what are some of the requirements, or is it slot aloccations per stand? I would really like to give inters a whirl sometime, even if it isn't next year.
