Hi all,

finally convinced my dad to find a car for me after many arguments with my sister (she's curbed 4 tyres). Managed to pick me up a base 2006 1.2E 9n3 model in silver. I've never done any mods to a car but am very intrigued and have loads of ideas running through my head, just want to start off with small exterior changes first.

Anyway, as stated i have the base 1.2E model so the lower grills are slats without fog lights. i've been thinking about either getting a set of honeycomb grills with fog lights or keeping the slats and buying the lower grills with fog lights. im just wondering how i would wire the fog lights to work with the switch. My uncle is a body mechanic/engineer so could potentially help, but i want to have a go first for myself. step by step guide would be good. im probably going to buy the parts from vaglinks or ebay...which evers cheaper:D

would you guys recommend slats or honeycomb? im obviously looking for the all show no go look :P

my dad also mentioned that because the car is a 1.2 3cylinder, having any tyres wider than 195s would burn the engine/gear box out...can anyone confirm this?

the car also has standard plastic trims and wing mirrors, can these be primed/painted easily?

Alright mate! I will be the first to reply! I have a set of lower grilles with fog lights as well if you wanted to get your hands on some! The grilles are not honeycombe but they will sort you out until you have time to buy the honeycombe lower grilles! The reason why I am selling my fog lights and grilles is because I just got my hands on a cup edition bumper that should be arriving from Germany next week 8) What part of the country are you from?? Cheers

I fitted my all 3x lower grilles (honeycombe ones) and the foglights last week but have not had the chance to do the wiring as yet. I must say it gives the car a nice look once you have fitted these on :)

To do the wiring you need the wiring (obviously) and the headlight switch needs to come out twice when on the foglight mode meaning once out is for the front fogs and when pulled out again the rear comes on

Does anyone have a tutorial how to fit the wiring and the switch??? Im planning to wire my foglights up i have the instructions but its in german lol :)
