As the title says, I have had my 2006 1.9 TDI Sport pd100 for about 3 months now and I LOVE it but over the past few times I have driven it, it feels noticeably less powerful

! I don't know if I have just go used to the power but I don't think that is the case as the loss of power seems quite sudden!! Any help would be much appreciated! Also the car in question will be having a revamp over the end of this month and the end of this month including:
- Cup Edition front bumper (shipped from Germany + currently being painted)
- Getting 17'' GTI Monzas refurbed in Matte Black or Matt Dark Grey
- Possible remap
- Boost gauges going in
- GTI valance and shiny new back box
Look out for it!

It has done 100,000 miles and as a matter of fact I did here a strange noise when I first noticed the power loss... Can't really explain the noise just sounded like the breaks were being pressed! I can normally here the whistle from the turbo but thats ok because I like that noise!

Please help!

does it go into limp mode at all? and have u checked ur air filter to make sure its clean?
at 100k it might just be the engine showing its age but if its quite sudden then it could be something else, if ur handy with tools id have a look inside ur egr valve it should be clear but peeps on seatcupra.net have found that it can get a build up of soot/oil wchich turns to a really sticky carbon build up, shouldnt really make much of a difference but it could i guess, other things could be the turbo viens beginning to choke up and not being able to open fully, or if the noise ur hearing isnt the turbo it could be a boost leak so give all the hoses a once over looking for wear loose connections cracks splits etc.
other than that i supose it wouldnt harm it hooking up to vagcom see if it knows something u dont
here are a few helpfull links ive came across

Mine lost power when one of the small vacuum hoses had a split in it. You'll need to check them carefully. They're the small bunch of (6?) hoses coming out of a black box on the driver's suspension strut.
