Help!! Not sure what to do

I tried to fill up my gear box oil but i put it in the wrong hole, it went into the clutch plate but drained straight out, now when i select the gears it hardly moves. i think the clutch is slipping off the disc but the clutch has not gone yet, what could i use to get the rest of the oil off the plate. i have driving the car around to burn it off it get a little bit better but taking far to long. any ideas other than taking it apart??

Unfortunately Richard it is highly unlikely it will ever be back to normal without at least renewing the friction plate.

How much would i be looking at to get one and one fitted?
I got quoted 220 for a new clutch fitted. But would that make the difference?

I don’t know about the price … but providing they are aware of the oil problem and do whatever’s necessary to properly clean the housing and flywheel before the new clutch is fitted you will be back to normal.
